vintage dishtowels

Arndt
anybody have a good use for beautiful vintage dishtowels? Thanks!

I made a table runner out of the vintage dishtowels I had. Use a contrasting color of lace to bring out the design or a lace that matches the background would also be ok.

I'd just suggest you display them somehow. Perhaps a decorative "towel rack" in the kitchen with several hanging on it, hanging in little diagonal points over the edge of a rustic china cabinet, as several short runners across an antique buffet table, place them on a tray as a "doily" to serve off of, or make something else with them, like the table runner idea of marylo's, or aprons, curtains, or cut them up and make napkins or a quilt out of them. I could see them displayed next to an antique basin and pitcher, on top of an antique dresser, chest, or dressing table.

I saw an article where someone took vintage dish towels and made them into a valance for the window. It actually looked very cute and it was simple to make.

I've seen something similar to foodlover's suggestion but made into cafe curtains. However if you would like to perserve them catwoman708's suggestions are best.
