I want to paint our bedroom. Is it better to paint one wall as an accent wall or to paint the entire room? Every wall in our house is white and I would like to paint our room beige.

I love having a little color, even beige adds something to plain white walls. My husband likes everything (walls and cabinets and trim) white or off-white because it's simple and easy, & he thought it made everything look cleaner and bigger. Finally talked him into doing liv. rm. and hall in beige ("Macadamia nut") and off-white trim. He loved it and it looked so much "dressier" it didn't make the room look smaller at all, just added warmth and interest. Now I'm thinking of doing a lighter version of it in the dining/kitchen, which is visible from the living room.If you need to make your bedroom look bigger, go ahead and paint it beige, then paint the far wall from the door a few shades darker to add depth (or the wall behind the bed to "frame" it). Then make the room into your "cozy nest"!
