is it necessary to paint home for good looking walls . actually i am allergic to paint smell and looking for an alternative

I can't think of much except wall paper or paneling, & I'm not crazy about either one. I occasionally have seen walls that were "troweled" on, where they just apply the mud with trowels, and just leave it with the trowel marks for a stucco look. Sometimes they use a "swirly" design that looks almost like it was finger painted on. It is painted though. You might try mixing the paint with the mud for a one-step process. There will still be paint involved, just less of it. Better to just get someone else to do it and stay away until the fumes have dissipated. Ionizing air purifiers are expensive, but very effective and useful, and will rid the place of odors much quicker. If you have other allergies as well, I'd highly recommend one.
