painting concrete floors( I really need help)

The first thing you need to do is find out if the concrete is sealed (does it bead when it's wet?) Sealed concrete does not take paint well. If yours is sealed, you might want to explore another option.

A friend of mine had her concrete patio stained. She had a contractor etch the concrete in blocks and then put down a stain that is made for concrete. It looks like tile. I don't know how it was done, so I can't help you there, but you might want to look into it before you paint. I do know that once you paint concrete you have to keep doing it every year.

hi if you use a lead based primer you should have no problem with painting your floor. Have a look for ref at your local library, also any old style hardware shops in the old day we always painted floors

I have a similar problem. I have white tile flooring throughout my apartment. I have tried everything to make them look nice. Should I invest in painting them or have them buffed by a professional?

I'm not an expert on this, but I would definitely say don't paint your concrete floor until the concrete has dried. I tried this one time on our floor minutes after we had the concrete poured, and it turned out to be a disaster.

Use an epoxy. It's not paint so you don't have to continually repaint every year. Check out lowes or home depot. Also do a google on "garage floor epoxy". You can visit those sites and see what the floor will look like. The floor will actually look alot like the showroom floor at a new car dealer. You can get a very slick epoxy finish, or there are additives that you can mix into it to give a skid free finish. It applies very easily with a paint roller and dries pretty quickly.
