I am wanting to flip our queen size bed to the opposite wall, however there is a window there that is almost the same width of the bed and about 1 foot taller than the bedpost....what creative options can anyone offer to get a nice cozy feel to the room, incorporating the bed in front of the window? photos?

If you have a privacy shade or blind for light control, you could simply layer floor length sheers on a window-wide rod & then a more luxurious fabric (depending on your personal style) drape over top that. With a hardware peg/ or fabric tieback, you can softly anchor the outer fabric back & will have created the illusion of a canopy --all without using up any of your floor space. It can be exotic w/ sari fabric, victorian w/ brocade, or very tailored & masculine w/ suede.......... lots of options for varied tastes. Enjoy!
