ANY color, from an off white, beige, or neutral pastel, to medium colors like khaki, mocha, mossy green, or golden wheat, to deep, rich jewel tones like orange, red, deep gold/mustard, darker greens, teals, or blues.Depends on your personal taste, whether you like trendy or classic styles, and the furnishings you already have (or are about to buy).

Yeah, not enough informationIt really depends on the style of the room and what furniture you already have to go in there. If you want to try again with more information, people love to help. What is the style of house you live in? How old, that sort of thing. Rooms can really be anything you want them to be but we gotta have an idea of where you are going.

For a good sized rom with a vaulted ceiling and lots of light, you might also try just "going with the flow" and stick to lighter colors. If you don't already have large furniture with a high profile you might consider it so it doesn't get dwarfed by the large open room. Big, bold, tall furniture, a taller entertainment armoire instead of console type tv stand, a large sofa on legs rather than a lower, "slouchy" style, tall plants, a big area rug to "anchor" the furniture in a cozy setting in the middle of the room instead of placed against the walls, etc...

I've always liked those warm putty sort of colors. Also Benjamin Moore has a whole new line of amazing colors called Auras. They're really nice and soothing. Just my 2 cents

Hi everyone, My dilemma is that I am at a standstill about decorating my living room. The room has very light colored natural stone floors and a natural maple vaulted ceiling. Additionally, this room is open to my kitchen which has natural maple cabinets and mid-toned green walls. The green color is a beautiful green with a hint of yellow (it's called Sweet Annie). It is perfectly grayed down so it looks very sophisticated and mellow. The living room faces east, south east and receives a ton of natural sunlight -- all of the morning and early afternoon sun. It's very bright and warm. So I know I should be looking at the warmer colors and I know the compliment to the green of the kitchen would be a reddish violet type color, but I'm very squeamish about choosing a color in the red family for such a large room. Also I want to choose a color that will contrast with the lightness of the floor and ceiling so that the room doesn't look too washed out. After living in rentals with white walls, I NEED AND LOVE color. Can anyone help me??????
