corner beds

back in the late 60's or earily 70's i had a corner bed. it had a big square table and then twin beds on either end of it. i have been looking everywehre for them again and cant find them. Has any one seen thesethanks

I know exactly what you mean, but haven't seen any in the stores in years. They are a much safer alternative to bunk beds. You might try a Cargo Furniture store or Ikea, they might not have them, but might have something you could work with. If you found (or built) a square table you could just put it in the corner and place the beds up to it. If you are handy you might could build a platform for the beds at a height to go with the table, cut the table legs down, or modify a set of bunkbeds (take off side rails and adjust height). Anchor the bedframes to the wall and/or table with L-shaped brackets for stability.Hope you find something that works.

thanksi have thought about trying to make some but i thought it would easier to try and find some. When i go to furniture stores and ask about them the sales people just look at me as if i lost my mind

Try asking the oldest sales person there (like over 40), scour used furniture and thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales.... Do you have a carpenter in the family or neighborhood?
