Live in a condo with huge 2 3 seaters gold color velvet sofas and 2 colonial side chairs, while my dining for 8 is striped gold and beige, what color of paint should I do on my wall, thanks

What color are the colonial side chairs - are they upolstered? A very pale yellow gold might be nice. If you have a Benjamin Moore in your area and they have a decorator who works in the store take a cushion and she can probably point you in the right direction. My mom had her Lining room and dining room in blue and white with sofa love seat in moire gold. She decided to paint the lining room yellow. She took her existing colors into the store and the decorator helped her find the perfect pale soft yellow to go with everything. If you are leaning toward taupe and believe it or not there are a lot of different shade tell them and they will definately point you in the right direction. I am sure other local paint stores often offer this type of service. Tell us what you end up doing and how it looks.

How about an off white/bone, cream, or pale golden or wheat color.
