I would love to talk to anyone who has actually purchased home furnishings from Buy Direct. Is it quality material? The closest one to us would probably be Tallahassee. Do you really save as much as they advertise? What about getting the merchandise home? I live hundreds of miles away. Has anyone found this to be a good experience... if not what were the problems? thanksDeb

I suggest you try to learn more about this organization. I don't have 1st hand experience with them, however, I have learned that it is VERY expensive to join and unless you are going to use them for a whole-home project, the savings are minimal. I have also heard that they are extremely high-pressure and persistent. Note: If my information is not correct, I apologize.

I do believe that Shapeshifter78 has put it mildly! They do not enjoy a good reputation for honesty...any so-called savings are more than eaten up with membership, etc. I would run away as fast as I can. If you, like everyone else, have a limited budget, try Craigslist (local only!), ebay, auctions, newspaper want ads, etc. to buy good quality at a good price! The joy of the hunt is half the fun!

I definitely agree with other people as i had similar experince. I was taken by their ads and happened to call them. Almost got an appointment fixed. But then i heard all sorts of things and i turned them down. They called me up so many times to persuade me. But i didn't give in.Like most other people, i do shop around on Craigslist, Ebay and local community based search sites. I found a cool web site called http://freecycle.org/ This is such a nice place where you can find people giving away stuff in your local area. Try to find your area using the Finder button they have.

Hubby and I went to an appointment and the deal is you join on that day or you never get a chance to come back. We walked out and the guy in charge was rude. $800 to join.
I cant find a name
My husband and I recently bought a house and we needed to furnish it all, I mean, including the stove, fridge, etc. I decided to make an appointment with them to see what it was all about. After hours of talking of how much money you would save if you join them they break down how much you have to pay for the membership, which is actually 5,000 that you can pay in installments IF you leave at least 500-700 upfront. You do not have a second opportunity to join them, not even a day to think about it, they heat up your head and make you decide that same day. In order for you to save thousands like they say, you would have to spend hundreds of thousands. It's a rip off
