Quilt Valance, Arched window

Does anyone know how I can make a valance for an arched window with an "Old Quilt" I already have? a pattern or formula? or at least a picture of a finished one?

Take craft paper and trace the inside of your window ( or outside the casing if you want to cover it and do an outside mount) with your finger to crease the paper or do a rubbing to get and accurate sized template of your window. To do a flat semi circular covering cut the fabric 1/2 inch larger than your pattern then sew fabric covered cording at least 1/4 inch in diameter for stabilization. Use 2" strips of bias fabric to cover the cording, enough to go the whole way around the window. Fold it over the cording and sew against the cording with a zipper foot. Apply it to your semicircular quilt piece and attach velcro to the inside seam allowance. Secure the other side of the velcro to the window casing.OR Hang loops of ribbon inside a lined piece of semicircular quilt and hang on small knobs placed around the top arch of the window. Kind of like a tab top. Use about 5 unless you have a bottom measurement of more that 4 feet. Then use as many as you need. It is usually better to treat under the arch with a straight valance, whether you use a rod, pegs, or a board mount. Good luck.
