Paint Color Dilemma

I have sky blue carpet throughout my home. I want to paint my family room, but I am not sure if I should go with a cool blue, or a warmmer color, that is completely different. My walls are presently white. I have cathedral ceilings, with (3) large windows on (1) wall which go to the top of the wall. My kitchen is right off of the family room, which is painted a light tan, with green wine grapes theme border, around the kitchen, (I wanted something other than blue,) and I have cool blue tile counter tops. Please help! Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank You, lynlee

Why not go with either the light tan that is in the kitchen, or a lighter shade of tan that coordinates with the kitchen. Even beige adds a little something to white walls. The trim could stay white or be painted off-white.
