Living room color!

sajg3
My couch is Sage green and I have 2 Plum colored side chairs. I liked the dramatic effect the two colors gave, but now I have no idea what color to paint the walls. I would also like to change the color of my drapes. Right now they are a dark sage green. Any ideas would be great!

You could go with am ivory on the walls but I think a lighter or darker shade of the sage would look nice and perhaps plum curtains or keep the old curtains with the new wall color. If you take a cushion from the couch, a chair, and a curtain panel some one at the paint shop should be able to help. (Our local Benj. Moore dealer has a decorator that works out of the store.) The Benj. Moore store is also carrying a new line of paints called C2. The colors even neutrals are intense, the staff told me were most paints combine 3-4 colors to get a shade C2 may use 5-7 and more pigment per gallon. I am definitely going to use them on my next paint project. C2 also has 12x12 color chips to really get a feel for the color in your room. Duron has a line of grey primers that looked like they would really enhance dark paints another product to check out.If you don't already have them look for a tapestry pillow with sage and plum or find a material at a fabric store and cover some pillow forms.
