Hi all,I need some ideas for party favors. I am having a religious ceremony for which i want to give a small party favor.I donot want to spend more than $1.00 as i need for like 20 people.I need some unique gift ideas which look cute and also useful.Sorry i am so late in posting this but Please it is very urgent.Thanks

It is a religious event. (I am from India) People get together and sit and pray to god and do the offerings.I usually pack a small goody bag with a fruit, candy and some kind of lentils(Which are supposed to be given on this occasion).I usually get some things from dollar store but i didn't find any decent enough one's this time.So searching for ideas....

Hi there... how about small scented votive candles? Should cost you a little less than a dollar at Walmart. I'm from India too and I think scented candles would be appreciated. Hope that helps.

If you do not have or want to purchase containers for the party favors, buy a yard or two of some cheap, sheer material like tulle and cut it in squares. Place the party favors in the square, and tie it with a ribbon. Have you thought of buying a large package of incense, votive candles, candy (or the lentils wrapped in smaller squares of tulle/material). There are often stores where you can buy bulk party favors, carnival prizes, or trinkets for goody bags. I found a great party supply warehouse store (wasn't listed in the phone book) and purchased wedding cake shaped party bubbles, and boxes of small fold up paper fans, both were $2 per dozen. If they are not listed in the yellow pages under party/carnival supplies, call a local school or organization that has carnivals and ask where they get their carnival prizes.There is a store called Mardel's (owned by the same company as Hobby Lobby). They are a Christian book store, but they sell school and craft supplies also, and have lots of little trinkets/favors, many from the 10 cent to $1 range, like pencils, notepads, toys, keychains, stickers, magnets, etc.., and not all are religious in theme/design.

my favorite small gift or party favor (for an adult) is a small potted plant. you can usually get them for about 3-4 dollars each at the most from your local florist shop....perhaps even for less if you are purchasing a lot of them.
