Hey, your welcome! The colors, artwork, and everything are certainly coming together nicely! The only thing I would suggest is to keep most of the artwork at eye level when you are standing, except maybe a little higher over the fireplace, because of the height of the mantle, and it's often the focal point of the room. Maybe you could try using only two of the pictures over the fireplace, and lower them some, not side by side, but only slightly staggered in height (less than they are now). This is a matter of personal taste, but I'd prefer to move the higher objects on the mantle to the left (the side with the higher painting), and the lower ones to the right, or remove about half the stuff on the mantle (remember, "less is more"). I love the paintings, but they immediately draw the eye away from the room and up to the second floor. The third painting could be used somewhere else you need interest, or even propped up on the mantle, and the other two hung lower. I have this little anal thing about throws spread out flat on the back of a sofa, that they look to forced or "grandma's afghan" look, and personally prefer them gently and casually thrown across the back or arm of the sofa, slightly gathered. So I'd probably move the two pillows to one side and toss the colorful throw on back or arm of the other side to offset it. The pattern of the throw is great and would still be visible, even gathered. It is GORGEOUS, by the way! Great colors and design, and really ties in well with your other items.I'm curious, did you ever find an entertainment center for the TV, and is the wall hanging to the left of the fireplace now? I thought I saw a glimpse of the hanger in the edge of a picture. If so, is it possible to lower it some? It's ok if the bottom of it is at your knee or hip level or if you can't quite see the bottom because of furniture placement. The hanger is so bold, that is the focal point of the piece and should really not be higher than the highest piece over the fireplace if you can help it, or guests will spend all their time looking up at your ceiling. LOL!These few suggestions are just my personal preferences and quirks. You've done a great job, and the room is much more pulled together and exciting. Redecorating, or just adding a few touches can really lift your spirits.

I love that you've spread the red accents throughout the room! It gives the room more "spice" and I love the exotic touches. I wonder about your window treatments (didn't see them in the photos). I still think that flowing drapes in a beautiful red fabric that start up at the top window and come down to the floor, and as simple panels on your other windows, would look fantastic in your new room! Curtains seem to make any space look "finished" and "cozy". I do think that Cat is right about her recommendation to hang your artwork a bit closer to eye-level...this is so it can be fully appreciated by you and your guests. Looks great! Hope you had fun doing it!

Hi all,Thanks for the compliments. As you know re-decorating is an on-going process, i am still searching for an entertainment center where i can fit the TV and also get some display place to put some of my family pictures. As i am basically from India, i get most of my interior decorations from India. The posters that you see are actually more like 5 X 7 prints which i got enlarged to 20 X 30 and put them in the frame with the mat. The whole project costed me only $100.00 for all the three frames including enlargement, frame, mat.And the window treatments....Window treatments are so cheap in India. And you have excellent and wide choice of fabric that you will go crazy. All that you need to tell the tailor is the width and height of the window and they do an WONDERFUL job. So, i have postponed the window treatments till my vacation to India. Also, they are like one time investment so i am choosy. And about the throw..., it is not actually throw. It is called sofa covers which are sold in sets of 5/6 for 3-seater, 2-seater and 1-seater. In India poeple rarely have recliners. So they use this to put on the sofas. Also, it protects the fabric from the dirt of people's head if the fabric is light colored.I still need to pull the other 2 walls together with the current theme. Searching for antique India decor....ThanksPavani
