Chipping paint

I painted a computer armoire and it was damaged in a recent move. Now, the paint is chipping and coming off in big flakes. How do repair I it? If I just paint over the chipping it will look patchy. Buy the way, the desk is not real wood. Advice Anyone?

Sorry, but you'll just have to repaint it. Scrape the flaking paint off, then sand it down good, wipe it off with a damp cloth, let it dry, put on a primer, then repaint. You might consider a sealer coat also. If you take a little extra care with the prep work, the painting will go smoother and last longer. There are chemical paint removers, but I've always found them too messy, and no telling what it might do to your non wood surface.
