A-frame Window treatments

I need to make blinds for the individual panes -(approx. 52" wide x110"tall)which will pull up (not down) due to the need for sills to be kept free from use. I can use eyes to run cords, and clutch mechanisms, but not much more than that. Where can I find the blind rollers to which I can attach my own material? Or does anyone have a better idea?

I'm not quite sure what you need. If I'm guessing correctly, you must have a "wall of windows", but I'm not sure of how to work with anything that big. I'd suggest you take the measurements and some photos of the windows with you to a Lowe's or Home Depot window treatment department and ask for some suggestions and get some price estimates. If they don't have what you need, and you have a large surface area to cover, you might look into automatic solar panel type blinds, that operate with a switch or remote control.

Thanks for the suggestions! the automatic solar panel type blinds sound interesting--if they do not need a lot of mechanical parts to attach to the windows--know any links to them? Yes, I have wall of windows- 10 windows in the shape of the roof - like a tent set on a box.--I'm going crazy trying to find a solution. Lowe's and a local interior decorator did not give me a solution. --The problem is that I cannot have much of any kind of apparatus holding them -except at the bottom of the whole window-the window washer needs to be able to put his ladder on the available frames.--that is why I am considering uising roller blinds --only rolling them up rather than down.--IF I can find blind rollers to which I can attach my own fabric.

I don't know of any links for the solar shades. I've only seen them in advertisements or a few restaurants that had the "patio/sun room" type areas. You might try looking at commercial applications, heavy window tinting, or just live with the windows uncovered. You might also consider:Heavily tinting the windows, placing a lot of big plants in front of some areas, then attach some kind of window coverings on just some of the windows. Decorative folding screens, or make hinged, movable panels of your own out of lightweight frames covered with fabric. You could possibly use lattice, lightweight paneling, or craft board accented or covered with fabric, or a photo collage or something. I've seen those folding wooden screens with slots for photos, but you might have too much area to cover for those, they aren't very big. If you make your own folding screens, you can make them as big as you want, and just fold them back when you want the windows uncovered.I found a roll of "bamboo fencing" at Home Depot one time. It's about 5 or 6 ft. tall, and 10 ft. long and looks similar to a roll up bamboo window shade. When DD wanted a "beach theme" in her bedroom we were going to put it on one wall like a "fence", but ended up not using it because she kept changing her mind.

Oh, I just remembered something. One time we used garment racks like portable curtain rods for a kids play (stage curtains). They were free standing garment racks on wheels, about 5 or 6 ft. tall, about the same in width, and someone had made them out of old galvanized pipe and spray painted it white. We put the little "cafe" style curtain rings on the rod and hung old sheets from them. You could also use decorative shower curtain rings and any kind of fabric for "portable curtains" on wheels.
